Ross Delston, CAMS Ross Delston, CAMS
Delston is the founder of GlobalAML.com, a Washington, DC-based consulting firm. An attorney and former Federal banking regulator, he specializes in advising multinational financial services firms on BSA/AML compliance issues. In addition, as a consultant to the International Monetary Fund, he has participated in the AML/CFT assessments of eight offshore financial centers. He has written numerous articles on AML issues, including TBML, hedge fund compliance, and independent AML audit. He was recently named Co-Chair of the American Bar Association's International AML Committee.
Jack Devaney Jack Devaney
Mr. Devaney is a Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, I.C.E. in Ft. Lauderdale and is currently in charge of supervising a federal task force that investigates drug smuggling, money laundering and asset forfeiture issues. He previously worked as Senior Agent in FinCEN, where he was team leader responsible for the State of Louisiana’s money laundering and financial crimes threat assessment, and as a Special Agent with the U.S. Customs Service in New York, where he specialized in money laundering investigations involving Black Market Peso Exchange and Trade Based issues. Jack has also worked for the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Kevin Sullivan, CAMS Kevin Sullivan, CAMS
Investigator, NY State Police, New York, he is the state money laundering investigations coordinator for the HIFCA El Dorado Task Force. He has participated in many investigations at the multi-agency task force, which provides intelligence support to law enforcement and regulatory agencies in money laundering and other financial crime matters. He has over 20 years of police experience, specializing in reverse engineering SAR analysis and review and developing intelligence on the latest money laundering trends. He is the director of AMLtrainer.com and the vice-chair of the ACAMS Metropolitan NY Chapter.
Carol Van Cleef Carol Van Cleef, CAMS
A Partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Bryan Cave LLP, Van Cleef advises U.S. and foreign banking institutions, credit unions, payment processors and other financial services companies on Bank Secrecy Act, AML and OFAC compliance strategies. She works extensively with bill payment service providers, money transmitters and stored value/prepaid cards program participants, including card issuing banks, program managers, processors and distributors in the development, implementation and evaluation of their AML compliance programs. As a member of NACHA 's Council for Electronic Billing and Payment, she authored the legal /regulatory section of NACHA’s white paper on Walk-in Bill Payments.
Dr. John S. Zdanowicz Dr. John S. Zdanowicz
Professor of finance, Florida International University, Miami, he is the world pioneer in exposing money laundering and suspected terrorist financing through international trade. His first article, with documentation, on aberrant pricing in international trade as a mask for money laundering, was published in Money Laundering Alert in January 1992. He has served as a consultant to the U.S. Customs and the U.S. Justice Department on transfer pricing and money laundering through trade and has presented his research to the European Commission, the Treasury Department’s U.S.-MENA Private Sector Dialogue and international conferences.
