Responding Effectively to Government Information Requests Under Treaties, Subpoenas, National Security Letters and Section 314(a)
If your financial institution receives a request for information from a government authority, its incorrect or improper handling or delivery will cause problems with investigators and, sometimes, your regulators. The requests may include requests for documentation supporting suspicious transaction reports, inquiries by local or foreign FIUs, court orders and more. Most countries’ legislations require financial institutions to have policies and procedures concerning their compliance with requests for information from law enforcement agencies. What you do when you receive one? This web seminar will guide you on how to comply with your obligations to law enforcement agencies and prosecutors and avoid problems with regulators. Here, experts analyze real–life cases and teach you what to do when the government knocks on your door.
