Latvia’s Fintech Pivot Carries Considerable Risk

At an annual forum in Riga this month, Latvia's economic minister and central bank chief took turns with other senior regulators and officials in publicly encouraging peer-to-peer payment providers, digital trading platforms and other fintechs to set up shop in the city.
