Sadly, some of the events of 2023 shadowed 2024, which marked the third year of Russia's attempted conquest of Ukraine; witnessed the continuation of civil war in Myanmar and Africa; and saw the Israel-Hamas conflict spread to Lebanon and the skies above Tehran and Tel-Aviv.
