Median Salaries Rose Nearly 6 Percent in 2012 for AML Professionals: Survey

The median salaries of compliance officers tasked with identifying money laundering and other financial crimes rose nearly six percent from 2011 to 2012, according to an industry survey released Thursday. The findings, published by the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), stem from responses by 5,472 compliance professionals, more than half of which work in the United States. Nearly 50 percent of the respondents work at companies with more than 10,000 employees, the organization said.
