U.K. Starts Recruitment for New Sanctions Office

The United Kingdom has begun its search for individuals to oversee and staff a new office tasked with enforcing the nation's sanctions program, according to an individual with direct knowledge of the matter. British officials disclosed plans to launch the agency, known as the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI), in budgetary documents published in July. OFSI staff will coordinate with law enforcement officials and the country's financial sector to facilitate and enforce compliance of U.K., U.N. and EU blocking orders, according to the documents.
