UK Officials List ‘High Priority’ Exports Aiding Russia’s War Machine

Britain has warned exporters and financial institutions to more thoroughly vet shipments of certain, “high priority” banned goods that Russia has deployed against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The “common high priority items list” published Tuesday by the U.K. Foreign Office includes integrated circuits and other microelectronics; wireless-communication and satellite-based radio navigation gear; electronics cabling and connectors; and digital cameras and related optical components, “many” of which have been found on the battlefield in Ukraine.

Amid indications that buyers acting on behalf of the Kremlin have managed to acquire Western-prohibited goods by routing them through neighboring countries, officials directed businesses to “undertake due diligence” to ensure that such products do not end up in Russia.
