A three-judge panel for the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans granted the Treasury Department's request to stay a nationwide injunction of the beneficial ownership requirements of the Corporate Transparency Act on Tuesday, only for a separate panel of judges to reinstate the injunction on Friday, Reuters and Bloomberg reported. More and More Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network responded to the reinstatement of the injunction by indefinitely delaying enforcement of the requirements, but noted that businesses can still submit the names, addresses and other details of their beneficial owners and day-to-day controllers on a voluntarily basis.
