New York Federal Prosecutors Merge Anti-Terror, Narcotics Divisions

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York is merging its counterterrorism and anti-narcotics divisions, a move expected to streamline related investigations. The units-the Terrorism and National Security unit and International Narcotics Trafficking unit-will operate with the same number of employees under the co-direction of Michael Farbiarz and Anjan Sahni, according to a statement by the district office. Farbiarz and Sahni previously headed the separate units.
