A U.S. trial against alleged Russian arms trafficker Viktor Bout could shed new light on how proceeds derived from his smuggling network moved through U.S. banks, say analysts. A Thai appellate court in August ordered the extradition of Bout, a former Soviet officer, to the United States to face terrorism charges for allegedly attempting to sell missiles and other weapons to the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC).
