Key features of an anti-money laundering strategy to combat drug trafficking organizations pitched last year by Mexican officials may ultimately be dropped by lawmakers, say industry advisors. While much of the raft of anti-money laundering (AML) provisions proposed by the government of Felipe Calderon in August 2010 has been approved by Mexico's Senate, the plans have largely stalled in the congress' lower house.
