FinCEN Expands Efforts Against Graft in Venezuela, Trafficking and Cybercrime

Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Argentina have joined a taskforce of North and South American countries to track the flow of corruptly obtained funds out of Venezuela, the head of the U.S. financial intelligence unit said. Ken Blanco, director of the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN, announced the three most recent additions to the group, which the bureau launched last year in partnership with the financial intelligence units, or FIUs, of Colombia, Mexico and Panama, in a speech at New York University on Wednesday.
