Banks in the Netherlands are finding it increasingly difficult to maintain relationships with real estate agents, soccer clubs, corporate services providers and other firms viewed as posing a high risk of financial crime, an industry group has found.
The financial intelligence unit of the Netherlands identified almost 40,000 transactions with a record aggregate value of €19 billion as suspicious last year, according to the agency's latest figures.
