In its annual report, the U.K. Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation disclosed Thursday that U.K. financial institutions and other firms have frozen more than £18 billion worth of assets linked to blacklisted Russian parties since Moscow launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February.
HM Treasury’s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation released its annual review covering April 2021 to August 2022, highlighting that £18.39 billion in assets of persons designated under the Russia sanctions regime were frozen since Feb. 22, 2022.
