The Federal Foreign Office (FFO) of Germany announced the confirmation by France, Germany and the United Kingdom of the successful conclusion of the first INSTEX transaction with Iran.
According to the FFO press release, the transaction facilitated the export of medical goods from Europe to Iran.
The goal of INSTEX is to provide a long-term solution for legitimate trade between Europe and Iran in an effort to preserve the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. INSTEX and its Iranian counterpart STFI plan to complete addition transactions and enhance the transaction mechanism.
