A court in the Netherlands on Wednesday jailed a Georgian national caught stashing €12.5 million of suspected illicit banknotes that became the target of the country's largest-ever cash seizure. In May, Dutch police raided the Georgian man's apartment in Eindhoven near the country's border with Belgium and discovered dozens of bundles of cash in various denominations hidden in a compartment behind a pantry in the kitchen along with two firearms, 215 rounds of ammunition and a kilo of cocaine.
