Dutch Court Jails Man for Hiding €12.5 Million in Criminal Cash Behind Pantry

A court in the Netherlands on Wednesday jailed a Georgian national caught stashing €12.5 million of suspected illicit banknotes that became the target of the country's largest-ever cash seizure. In May, Dutch police raided the Georgian man's apartment in Eindhoven near the country's border with Belgium and discovered dozens of bundles of cash in various denominations hidden in a compartment behind a pantry in the kitchen along with two firearms, 215 rounds of ammunition and a kilo of cocaine. Three judges at the Court of Rotterdam sentenced the 36-year-old, whom court documents do not identify by name, to three-and-a-half years...
