FinCEN and SEC to Share BSA Information

The U.S. Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) agreed Thursday to exchange information about securities broker-dealers and investment companies' compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). Under the signed memorandum of understanding (MOU), the SEC agreed to provide FinCEN with detailed information each quarter about its compliance examinations and enforcement activities and the actions of securities self-regulatory organizations.
