Governments Should Offer More Details on Behavior of Terrorist Financiers, FATF Says

Governments are not adequately identifying indicators of terrorist financing to help financial institutions detect suspicious behavior, according to a report issued Friday by the Financial Action Task Force, which sets international anti-money laundering standards. Indicators that suggest traditional money laundering are not effective in preventing terrorist financing, unless additional information is provided, Paris-based FATF said in the report.
