Growing Corruption Seen in Bulgaria, Norway, Burundi, Maldives and United Kingdom: Report

Public perceptions of corruption jumped the most about Bulgaria, Burundi, Maldives, Norway and the United Kingdom in 2008, according to a study released Tuesday by an organization calling for international political reforms. Berlin-based Transparency International said the five countries had shown the greatest statistical drop in its annual report on global views of governmental venality. The organization scored 180 nations by collecting the research of 11 independent international institutions, including the World Economic Forum and the World Bank.
