A network of U.S.-based rabbis used charities to wash "at least" tens of millions of dollars of dirty money in exchange for ten percent commissions, federal investigators said Thursday. The alleged scheme involved over a dozen rabbis and cash house operators who knowingly accepted illicit profits under the guise of charitable donations only to return 90 percent of the funds in cash or "clean" checks, investigators said.
