New York State's highest court concluded Tuesday that Lebanese Canadian Bank's (LCB) use of an in-state account to transfer millions of dollars is grounds for a lawsuit on behalf of Israeli victims of a Hezbollah rocket attack. Originally filed in 2008, the lawsuit was brought by American, Canadian, and Israeli citizens who live in Israel. It claims that LCB, a now defunct Beirut bank, supported terrorism by handling transactions for the Shahid Foundation, which is allegedly a "financial arm" of Hizballah.
