South Florida Check Casher Faces Fines, Jail for Falsifying CTRs

One South Florida check casher pleaded guilty Tuesday to falsifying transaction reports, while two other individuals in a separate case were sentenced to prison for similar crimes, according to court documents and releases from the U.S. Justice Department. The owner of a Palm Beach County money services business (MSB), Munther Duaybes, faces up to10 years in prison and a $500,000 fine for falsifying dozens of customer transaction reports, according to a plea agreement filed Tuesday.
