Standoff with Russia Raises Questions Over FATF’s Moscow Plenary

Diplomatic tension over Ukraine has raised doubts that the United States will attend an upcoming Moscow plenary of the world's largest anti-money laundering task force, say current and former officials. A day after the U.S. Treasury Department levied asset freezes and travel bans against 11 Russians linked to last month's military occupation of the Crimean Peninsula, President Vladimir Putin signed documents Tuesday formally annexing the strategically important region, which on Sunday voted in favor of the move.
