Supreme Court Likely to Uphold Material Support Ban

The Supreme Court is likely to reverse a decision by a lower court that deemed parts of the country's counterterrorism laws unconstitutional and overly vague, say former federal investigators. The case involves a lawsuit by the Los Angeles-based Humanitarian Law Project, which challenged the U.S. Attorney General in August 2003 over regulations forbidding the organization from providing conflict resolution services to designated terrorist groups, including the Kurdish Workers Party in Turkey and the Tamil Tigers.
