U.S. prosecutors this year subpoenaed Citigroup's Mexican affiliate, Banamex, for documents related to its anti-money laundering (AML) controls and compliance checks on hundreds of customers, Bloomberg reported. Mexican banking regulators served the documents on Banamex in January.
