Financial Action Task Force Official Damais Resigns

Financial Action Task Force Executive Secretary Alain Damais resigned from the international anti-money laundering policymaking body to take a post with the French Finance Ministry. Damais was appointed to the Inspection G?©n?©rale des Finances, the public expenditures auditing division of the French Ministry of Finance, in a decree issued April 7 by French President Jacques Chirac, the Paris-based FATF said today in a statement. Damais, who will leave FATF on April 15, begins his new appointment on April 16.
