Swiss private bank Julius Baer reached a highly anticipated $79 million deal with federal prosecutors in New York who accused the lender of laundering tens of millions of dollars for corrupt world soccer officials. Julius Baer admitted Thursday that from February 2013 to May 2015, a marketing firm funneled more than $36 million in bribes through the Zurich-based lender's branch in New York to senior employees of FIFA and other soccer organizations to help at least four broadcasters secure rights to televise World Cup matches and other high-profile games.
