Recent years have seen the use of high-quality scanners, printers and fake IDs amid an epidemic of mail theft revolutionize the age-old scam of creating and cashing counterfeit checks, while online fraud-as-a-service markets have newly enabled criminals to scale-up to enterprise levels.
