U.K.’s Top Crime Investigator Previews Breakthrough in Bank Talks

British officials and bankers have reached a breakthrough in recent days in their talks on how to better cooperate in financial crime cases, a top U.K. investigator said Thursday. The National Crime Agency (NCA), which cofounded a forum for industry dialogue on economic crime in April, has seen a "big step forward in the last few days with banks," said Keith Bristow, director general of the law enforcement organization, in remarks following a speech at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
