U.S. Treasury Department Blacklists Bahraini Bank Run by Iranians

The U.S. Treasury Department ratcheted up economic pressure on Iran by blacklisting a Bahraini bank run by several of Iran's financial leaders. The department sanctioned Future Bank B.S.C. Wednesday for purportedly helping Iran and Bank Melli, an Iranian government owned bank also sanctioned by the United States, try to advance its internationally condemned nuclear weapons program.
